Drown Internships

Product Design Engineering Intern Summer 2020

About Us:
Drown Audio is a young Edinburgh based company creating audio hardware which creates meaningful connections through audio.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign from last year we are just finalizing production and will launch the world’s first tactile earphones for gaming in March. Drown earphones deliver the most realistic, immersive audio you have ever experienced, without sacrificing comfort or style.
We are exploring how our patented technology can be used in other sectors and how we can build and improve on our current audio platform.

The Role :
We are looking for students approaching or in their final year of university and recent graduates. As a member of the product design engineering team, you will be at the forefront of our design, test and build strategy for the development of our next generation product(s). There will also be a requirement to deliver the current product already in production and work with our partners in China to improve the technology already implemented. You will report directly to the lead product design engineer.
We are looking to expand our R&D strength so be prepared to think creatively about our future products, test designs and evaluate their value.
As a small company, flexibility is of key importance in a team member, along with a willingness to work across disciplines. There may be requirements to be involved in the marketing strategy, go to trade shows, meet with users, create video demonstrations of the product etc.
